Summary

During my exchange semester, I explored digital telepresence beyond screens and audio, focusing on breath as a carrier of presence. Translating breath into a physical, observable form to create create connection and a feeling of presence across distance, questioning how technology can mediate intimacy, not just information.

Renderings

Alongside the prototype, the renderings shape the concept into a tangible, product-like form.

Reflection

This project was influenced by my time abroad and the context of COVID, where distance and isolation made questions of presence more relevant. It was part of a series of more explorative projects during my exchange semester, allowing me to experiment more freely with ideas around connection and intimacy.
